Bluewater Bungalow

We were very pleased with Bluewater Bungalow. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need - in the kitchen and throughout the house. We spent a lot of time on the large, well-furnished deck. And each bedroom having its own dedicated bathroom was also a huge plus for our family. It was a perfect place to spend Thanksgiving week!

We rent Bluewater Bungalow every year, and we love it! It is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked. Four bedrooms/four baths make it the perfect spot for a large group. The proximity to the beach is perfect, and the ramp gets you over the dunes. The management staff is always available if you need anything. I highly recommend Bluewater Bungalow.

We absolutely love this house and location! The deck is huge and the views from within the house are breathtaking. My only complaint is we had to make all the beds ourselves when we arrived. Clean sheets and towels were in cleaning bag that we had to unload and distribute to each room. Plus side.. we knew they were cleaned before arrival.

Check in at 4pm, spend 1 hour making all the beds in the house.
Hair in towels and wash cloths.
Cookies under TV in kids room (found when trying to get the TVs to work, never could.)
Crumbs all over counters. Windows so filthy with sand and moisture you can’t even enjoy the view. But, you can spend the next 30 minutes of your stay cleaning them.

The house is gorgeous, don’t get me wrong. The porch is amazing. Living room and kitchen are totally gorgeous and make you feel like you’re in a mansion. But as a clean freak, I was disappointed. Especially because you pay so much. You expect it to be clean, at the very minimum.

The house was wonderful for our extended family time together. Everything we needed was provided. The walk over the dunes to the beach is a big plus.

We stay here every year and will continue to do so! Everything is top notch! I love the fact that it has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, two ovens, two refrigerators, two barbecue pits and a big deck with lots of comfortable seating. Makes it very nice for large family groups. Bluewater Bungalow is my top pick!

The house was fabulous. Very well stocked as far as kitchen. It was a great space for our family. We would definitely stay here again. Only complaints were i wish they supplied more linens we had an extra pillow in our closet, But no extra pillow case. I wish we had more dish towels.
We like to sleep in on vacation, would have been nice to have more window coverings on the bedrooms. Especially with small children. But overall we loved it. Two refrigerators was awesome.

We loved the house with all that it had to offer. It is so nice for our group to each have our own bedroom/bathroom. Wonderful deck with ramp and location.

We have rented beach front houses for years in the Freeport/Surfside area. Bluewater Bungalow was our best rental of all! We will be back!

My family had a great relaxing long weekend. Everything was really nice, right on the beach with your private walkway to the beach!! Love the huge patio to sit out and relax overlooking the ocean!! The house was very nice and clean; no issues with the water system!! We plan on going back next year and the year after...you really won’t be disappointed with this rental!!

Nice location for a quick family get away to the beach. The property is not squeezed in around other beach properties which makes it nice to be outside, sit on the deck and enjoy the beach front view. Home interior is very nice with each room having a separate bathroom which worked out great for our family getaway.

Beautiful rental and Nice location.

This was a special trip for us. An 80th birthday and Thanksgiving celebration. Our 4th year straight in this home and it feels like our home. The sunrises are so special and renewing for me. Hard to stay anywhere else.

We loved Bluewater Bungalow and had a wonderful time. We had my parents, our grown kids, grandkids, and my brother and sister all together. We came from all over Texas—San Antonio, Cameron, Dallas, and Houston. The house was the perfect size for all of us. We loved it and will definitely do it again.

We enjoyed the house and the layout was perfect for our 3 families..only request would be to add chest of drawers to the rooms in order to unpack for the week and add'l TV's in the 2 downstairs bedrooms.

We absolutely loved the Bluewater Bungalow. When we arrived the property was immaculate, the check-in and check-out procedures were simple. Will definitely return to this rental!

This is our third trip to this home. It feels like our own summer home now. It would be very hard for our family to stay anywhere else. It provides a special time to watch our children and grandchildren grow from year to year. We love it!

Rental management company was very accommodating for a late arrival as we were prudent enough to inform company early in the day. Home was very clean, beds downstairs were very comfortable. The bunk beds and hide-away upstairs were a little less than comfortable for 2 adults. House slept 6 adults and 2 kids very well. Private access to the beach was wonderful. You may still need to get out to the beach early to stake your claim on some real estate as the beach will populate fairly early. House has refrigerators which was good for storing water bottles in one of them and food in the other. Loved laying out in the hammock, so take advantage of this perk if you can. Home provides some beach toys in the downstairs "shed."

The beach house was just as described. The beach was very busy when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, by Monday it was much more quiet. We we able to watch the dolphins while eating breakfast on the deck. Great house for our family of 5 plus a baby. If we come back to the area, we would definitely consider staying in this rental again. Thanks for providing a wonder home for our family.

We absolutely loved this house including the location on a more quiet and clean stretch of beach! The house is gorgeous, perfectly maintained and it is well laid-out. The large deck provides ample room and shade. We will definitely stay here again.

It was a perfect beach house to meet up with family. Some from MO, CA, OK. It was practically perfect in every way. Plenty of room, privacy with four bedrooms and four baths. The kitchen was equipped well, we enjoyed cooking most of our meals, the view spectacular and Galveston close by to visit. Everyone stated they had a wonderful time.

This was the 2nd time that we have rented this house for vacation. This house exceeds expectations and is absolutely gorgeous. All of the appliances work, dishes and pots and pans look brand new. You can tell this house has been very well taken care of and I couldn't name a single thing that went wrong or that I would change. The deck is large enough that you can still sit and enjoy the rainy weather with no worries about getting wet. The bedrooms are all good sizes and there's plenty of room for everyone. Perfection!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. We were overwhelmed by the home itself, it was beautiful, well kept, very spacious and had many special items, such as kitchen accessories, storage downstairs and private access to the beach. The beach was also very clean, so family orientated and friendly and made our stay even more special.

If I had to mention one negative, it would be that the home was not completely clean when we checked in. Bathroom trash cans had not been emptied and countertops and bathrooms were not wiped down or clean. The floors were gritty. I am not sure if this was from the previous guest not completing checkout procedures, or if a cleaning service was hired. However, when we left, the home was cleaner than when we arrived. Rooms were swept, bathrooms including toilets and tubs were wiped down and everything was back where we found it. The cleaning issues in no way hindered our trip, and we will be booking this home again in the future.
I would absolutely recommend the home for anyone wanting to get away. Our grown children and their children had a wonderful time, the only time we left the home was to go to the grocery store twice. It was just what we needed!
On the night prior to checkout - we had to take my mother to the ER. She ended up being flown to Houston for an aneurysm, in doing this, we were also dealing with packing and getting out of the home. I contacted Brannon Realty at midnight and told them the situation, they were very understanding and even offered to pack our items for us. The representative from Brannon also called the next morning to check on my mother....just another reason why we have rented through Brannon Realty for well over 30 years.

We have stayed at Bluewater Bungalow two years in a row and it has yet to disappoint. Even though we may not be the largest group, we have plenty of space to spread out as needed. The views are spectacular from the covered/uncovered front porch. We hope to visit for years to come

We rented the Bluewater Bungalow for a work retreat. The house was perfectly located, had immediate access to the beach, afforded plenty of room for relaxation and work related activities. Everything was provided (including spices in the kitchen) so that we could just unpack our suitcases and enjoy our getaway. The design of the bungalow was absolutely beautiful and well thought out.

Most enjoyable stay. We had family from across Texas and Oklahoma who came down to celebrate my husband's birthday. They all had a wonderful relaxing weekend.

This is the second year I have stayed at Bluewater Bungalow and I do believe it is the nicest place to stay. Very well maintained, beautiful beach decor. Every amenity you could possibly want. The best part is the location. Far enough away from the busy crowds yet close enough to go to Galveston or Brazosport area. Even though there are some great restaurants close by, I stayed at the home and enjoyed cooking and of course the view is spectacular. I can't wait to return next year. It's a close to my home vacation spot where I can relax and be a beach bum.

We rented the Bluewater Bungalow for a 3 day weekend following our daughter's graduation from UTMB School of Nursing. The home was beautifully decorated! Very clean! And the ramps were perfect for our elderly family members from Houston who came for a day visit. It was an excellent rental for our family & we HIGHLY recommend this home!

Everything was wonderful with the exception that we were not told the dishwasher was broken. We filled it up after entertaining all 15 of us for dinner and found out the next day with the sink full of dishes and no one understanding how to work the dishwasher that it was broken and they forgot to tell us that. That was a mess and trying to keep the dishes washed for the group made me the housekeeper rather than having a good time with our family!

Bluewater Bungalow was in good condition and clean! We did have power failures on Friday for 2 hours and Sunday for 3.5 hours, but everything else was great!

This home exceeded our expectations in decor, cleanliness and proximity to the beach! Beautifully decorated with plenty of room for our family to gather together or have time on our own (the kids - and adults - loved the "Crow's Nest"!!). The deck, the hammock ... the American flag ... loved it all! The outside shower was wonderful. All appliances looked brand new. We did have to call Brannan due to a problem with one appliance, but they had it repaired that afternoon. Thank you, Bluewater Bungalow, for providing the setting for precious family memories!!
