Sea Palace (U#10257)

Unfortunately, the way our problem of bed bugs was addressed in the Sea Palace was very disappointing, and we are concerned for future guests who stay here. We hope they dispose of the bed bug blood spotted bed sheets and treat the rooms thoroughly to prevent infestations. In the moment, upon our emergency call, they had verbally apologized and agreed to a discount due to us not using a few rooms that we found the bugs in. They did offer to move us to a different house, but it gave no guarantee there wouldn't be bed bugs there too, plus the houses available were smaller than Sea Palace, so we opted to continue our stay while isolating the bed bug rooms. When I called to follow up after our trip, I was told they would not compensate for the inconvenience for the bed bugs. Some of us in the group stayed up really late in the night upon discovered bed bugs crawling on the bed right before sleeping, then having to heat dry everything in the room until late hours in the night to try to kill them if they got into suitcases, clothes, etc. Then the next morning our entire party looked through each and every room occupied to inspect for bed bugs. That took a lot of time, energy, and effort and it caused a delay in our plans for Saturday. The lack of compassion was disappointing after we went through all of that. We really hope they exterminate all the bed bugs. This home was very large and right by the beach, it served the purpose for our big group, but the follow up of customer service left a bad feeling not wanting to return.

We had a wonderful stay! Loved the large house with plenty of room for everyone. Adult kids, grandkids are all asking if we'll rent this house again next year! Apparently all were happy with the space. Kitchen was great & seating at tables superb.

This house is huge. Enough space so everyone will not be crowded over each other. Bring mosquito spray please. Would recommend to anyone.

We have rented this beach house multiple times for family gatherings and it is always wonderful. There is plenty of space for everyone to sit, eat together, and plenty of beds to accommodate us, and it is always clean. You may want to consider bringing more hand towels or use paper towels in the bathrooms. With that many people, we were having to wash daily to have dry ones to use. We needed to contact management for a couple of things, but they were immediately on the task! Nothing major, though. BRRI is always a pleasure to rent from. Location of the house is perfect!

We enjoyed our stay. Love the property and will stay there again. Only things we ask, is to improve the bathrooms. They conditions were not up to part. Other then the bathrooms, very beautiful.

The bathrooms in this property need to be remodeled. Tub areas are in need of scrubbing. We had issues with sinks draining, but issues were resolved with maintenance. This beachhouse needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

This was our 6th annual gathering but the first time staying at the Sea Palace. It was great. Everything was clean, working, and comfortable. Looking forward to our 7th annual gathering.

our overall Rental Experience was great. There was nothing to complain about.

Wonderful, lots of family time, a wedding on the beach and amazing memories.
There were some issues with upstairs commode leaking on the floor and AC in upper floor attic leaking through ceiling, however the leaking did not affect the coolness of the house.
We love this house since we have stayed here for at least 20 times over the last 35 years, We have always had amazing customer service from Brannen Realty

Needs updating in the bathrooms. Jacuzzi tubs are not needed. Walkin showers and a few tubs would be plenty. The towel racks are broken, so no place to hang towels. The shower curtains are too short, so water leaks out during shower.
The refrigerators are missing shelves, the pull out drawers are broken, and the door shelves are missing the railings. The ovens and stove are older and the sink faucet sprays everywhere.
Just updating would go a long ways.

Overall it’s a great House for a family vacation. I will say I do not think the house was thoroughly cleaned before we checked in. The carpet was obviously not vacuumed at all and when I tried to get the vacuum out it was broken so I know that it was not done. Other than that I have no complaints.

As advertised and more. Big house for my big family. We rebooked for next year. Right on beach. Great deck for socializing. Plenty of parking underneath house. Proximity to many things you will need. ONLY downsides: top oven was not cleaned and full of grease so I was unable to use for fear of smoking out house. Next and biggest thing was POOR WiFi and poor cellular signal. The wifi was just not able to function much at all. Plus not download movies or access any online content on TVs. Pho es had to be turned off of wifi and depend on weak cellular to get any internet access. In this modern age it was a significant issue. Would live to see this corrected if possible. That said. We will be back. Friendly, efficient and easy staff to work with also.

This house is perfect for a family vacation, enough space for the journey to the beach was great. I would suggest bringing your own linen. Also, the shower heads seem like they need to be changed. I didn't like all the cleaning before we left but other than that THIS HOUSE WAS BEAUTIFUL and amazing.

Place was great, couple of minor maintenance details but the office was appreciative of me letting them know. They dont know if it isn't shared. Definitely will use them again!

Our family had a great week with beautiful weather. Sea Palace is our favorite home at the beach and this year was just as great for us as it was in previous years when we have stayed there.

Lovely time with Family talent show by grandchildren was 5 Star. The view was excellent. I hope to come back in 2020 with my growing family........

Sea Palace’s layout with 2 dining room tables and 3 living room areas has always been my favorite among the big houses. The new water purifier is greatly appreciated as it spared us making water runs every day. The new kitchen came with new pots and pans and they are all of high quality and there are a lot of them. Thank you from the family of 28 foodies! The new furniture downstairs was very nice too.

Great time at the beach and Sea Palace looked amazing. Been staying in Sea Palace since it became a rental and the updating in the kitchen, new paint and flooring and new furniture brought this house back to its glory. Looked and functioned great! (Understand the bathrooms will get updated next, which will be a great touch.)

We have been coming to surfside for 50 years and have rented from Brannan/Bluewater most of those years. Bernadette and Leetha are wonderful to work with. The updates on the house are wonderful. Kitchen delightful. Great family area and we had an awesome stay. Thank-you for caring for us all these years. Can't wait till year 75!!

We were happy to see our favorite beach house beautifully decorated and renewed for our Family reunion. 19 adults and 5 children were comfortable and happy that week, and able to walk to enjoy the beach, even on rainy days!

Sea Palace is perfect for your next large gathering: family reunion, church or work retreat, girls weekend... you name it. There is plenty of room downstairs for all to be together, and spacious rooms upstairs for alone time. The 6+ bathrooms mean no waiting! Enjoy the view of the Gulf from either of two large decks, or take a short walk down a sandy path to take a dip. The kitchen is nicely equipped with two large refrigerators, double oven, range, microwave and a large pantry. There is even nice yard area to set up volleyball, badmitton or croquet. For those who prefer inside activities, there are two state of the art tvs downstairs, one upstairs, as well as free wifi. You'll love this place!

The weather was excellent, the beach was clean, and the house was nice. We enjoyed our family and friends, and the lovely church group staying next door.
We did see rattlesnakes in the dunes, but it is their habitat. So children should be accompanied walking through to the beach. Great mini vacation! We rent yearly, and sometimes twice a year. Brri has been great! We will return!

We had a wonderful family reunion and vacation. Everyone was very happy and pleased with the house; lots of bathrooms, great bedrooms, plenty of room for family activities, friendly neighbors, short walk to the gulf; even the water was perfect!

We had about 35 people stay for 3 nights and it was the perfect size to accommodate a group that size. We had a brief issue the first day with the AC, but one phone call had it fixed. The satellite TV eventually worked, but the remotes were confusing, there were no instructions, and we had to figure it out ourselves. Other than that, we had no issues.

We love this house and have rented it 3 years in a row. Great for a retreat !

We love this house! It's a great location and big enough to bring a large youth group. The rental company is very friendly and easy to work with.

The house was perfect for our reunion, we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 23 adults and 7 children.

Up to 30 of us gather in SurfSide from as far away as Oklahoma and Mississippi. The house is great. Plenty of room for all of the families.

The beach had a historic sargasum landing but the cabin was great.

We scheduled a family vacation at the Sea Palace- it was clean and roomy and perfect for our large family!

This was not our first time staying at the Sea Palace and we continue to find the accommodations very suitable for our family group. That is why we have reserved it again for Thanksgiving.

Our experience at the Sea Palace was great. Our family enjoyed the spacious rooms and amenities. However, the beach area for the entire housing community was extremely dirty
with debris and sea weeds. We noticed that the "public" beach was cleaner than the "private' beach. In my opinion, if the owners would allocate 10% of the rental revenue to clean the private beach, the renter would enjoy a CLEAN beach and the owners would enjoy a year round profitable business. God bless you and keep you
safe during the Hurricane season.

Took a group of 33 and stayed at one of the larger homes there at Surfside. As always, it was a wonderful experience - not even the rainy weather could ruin it. The home was lovely and adequate for our needs with a large kitchen and living space. The only concern was fitting people in rooms: the house claimed to sleep 36, but we couldn't figure out how unless you were sleeping three to a bed and had people on couches.

We had a great time and everyone found a place to call their own. We'll be back next year.

Our extended family of 18 had a great stay at Sea Palace over thanksgiving. The staff we dealt with were very friendly and prompt to help us with some minor problems like a running toilet and the AC not working when we first arrived. The only difficulty we had was the ovens did not cook evenly,, so we were a little stressed getting the Thanksgiving meal prepared. The beach and the house were great and we will come back.

We love Surfside and were able to accommodate the entire family at Sea Palace. This cabin has lots of amenities and is well laid out for large groups. I would stay here again.

We had a very pleasant time at the Sea Palace. We have stayed there before and will again if it is available when we need it. We had an air conditioning problem while there but you got it fixed the same day. We also had a TV problem which you fixed within an hour.
The Sea Palace had plenty of room for our group of 19 (5 couples & 9 grandkids)

We had a wonderful time at Sea Palace, I would definitely consider the property again in the future as well as recommend it to friends and family needing somewhere to fit 30 people!

WE had over 60 people at a party and about 40 spent Friday and Saturday nights everything went great we are booking again. Everyone who stayed and visited was greatly impressed with the superb accomadations.
