Pirate's Booty (U#10258)

The overall stay was really wonderful. We had a lot of fun playing games walks on the beach and the beach house was very roomy for the amount of people that came. There are a few things that could be better regarding the beach house one is food roaches, cleaning around the trunk of the twin beds , comforters were not clean. And they need to replace some of their mattresses . a fresh coat of paint on the house make it look good and a water filtration system on the house. The water has a smell and the toilets too just being honest. And I hate writing a bad review because we have rented this beach house so many times before, but this year was the first time that these many things were wrong. We had to go buy roach spray and the office did not offer to reimburse us for the spray. .We also bought cans of Mosquito spray because last year the mosquitoes were so bad we couldn’t sit outside at all without being bitten. So this year we came prepared we went on and sprayed with a water hose. not as bad but once it rained a little, they became annoying. But we did not let these problems causes to have a bad time. We figured it out and made it work and yes, the office was aware of the mosquitoes and the roaches and one of the refrigerator doors would not stay closed. We use a cooler with soda and water propped up against it to keep the door shut

It was a great place for our family get together. The beds were comfortable. Great access to the beach. We really loved the entire experience. Letha helped us when the hurricane damaged the one we had already rented, finding one that we could get to accommodate our large group and in doing so saved several already booked travel plans for our group.

Our church has used this beach house for many years and have been great pleased. Letha is awesome to work with. I do believe the house desperately needs renovating. For example, The floor tile was cracked in quite a few places, kitchen can stand an uplift. I was a bit embarrassed since bringing in many who has never gone before. The floor was not that way when we last used this house. Please update.

Plenty of room for our large family group. However, some of the kitchen appliances are in need of repair/replacement.

We have stayed in this property before, so we rented it again. It's the perfect layout and location for our group. Lots of bedrooms for lots of families. The maintenance of the property is disappointing. The back half of the house wasn't cooling, the house was not well cleaned at check in, the kitchen wasn't well stocked with utensils (no can opener), none of the TVs worked, and the fire alarm in the main living area was missing. The furniture is old and dingy and needs a good cleaning. I am fully aware that this is a beach property, but it really needs attention!

This home is perfect for our yearly family beach trip! We have stayed in this home for the past 6 or so years! It does need a little maintenance as we’ve watched it be “very enjoyed” by many! Besides light bulbs needing replacement and bedding needing a spruce-up, it’s a great house for a large group! Bluewater Resort Rentals is a wonderful company to work with!

House was big and spacious truly sleeps 32 people comfortably. My family and I truly enjoyed all the amenities of this home. I would definitely rent again!

Everything was great.. I was just disappointed that there was no toiletries and a pair of sheets had a stain on it. I believe it was washed and cleaned but It should have not been in the sheets that were provide

The house fits our family very well. The space is one level for our older and the long hallway is perfect for the little one's energy. The separate rooms give a nice rest when the fun gets too loud. There are minor upkeep issues but none that interfered with our fun.

We enjoyed everything about Pirates Booty. All the rooms are huge and the open area was perfect for everyone to visit. The kids loved the media room.

We have been renting houses for our huge family trip for over 50 years at Surfside Beach! As our family has grown, so have our houses! This was the 5th year at Pirate’s Booty and we love it! We have seen some updates this year and truly appreciate all of them...especially the new A/C systems! Bluewater Resort Rentals (formerly Brannan Realty) have always been our go to company and every year, they would get 5 stars hands down! We had another great week this past June and cannot wait for next year already! Thank you Surfside Beach, Red Snapper Inn and The Sea Horse Grill!

It was an excellent family get-away. We have rented the Pirates Booty several times and always had great experience. The location is on point, the beachhouse is beautiful and clean. We can't wait until next year.

The house is the perfect size for our large family by providing enough space for everyone to have some private time when needed. It also provides enough common space for our large group to gather comfortably. The office staff is helpful and courteous but the maintenance staff is lacking in courtesy and helpfulness.

House this time had multiple upkeep and maintenance issues. Cleanliness was below par. Over the years the house is showing a lot of wear and tear. We enjoyed the beach but, were very disappointed in the condition on the house this year. Most mattresses are in need of replacement and quite worn. Faucets are corroded and in need of attention. We were there last week. Will not stay at this house again. Been renting on Surfside for 25 years or more. Not happy with the property this time around.

Ideal location and house layout for a large group stay. The soundproofed media room is a godsend for entertaining small children (and gaming adults). The only negative was the very poor attention to cleaning. Surfaces looked good, but under cushions and inside cabinets were filthy. Come prepared to clean it yourself.

We had a wonderful week staying in Pirates Booty in Surfside TX. Not only was the house perfect so was the ocean. Great for the fishermen, the kids playing in the edge and sand castle building.

This house was great. We rented the house next door and the two of them were perfect for our large family. There were a few maintenance tasks needed, but the house was still wonderful and we will be back next year.

This house has great furniture and a great view it was well equipped with dishes and games. Everything we needed was there we had a great time.

Always enjoy time with family in this home for several years that has always met our need for space. The home this year was in need of some general upkeep and cleaning. I addressed all my concerns with the staff and hope the management follows up with those concerns.

Our stay was such a blessing! The staff especially Ms. Letha, were so kind from start to finish. The house was beautiful and in wonderful condition. The location is great!

Four generations under one roof.

We had an amazing week in Pirates Booty. The house was spacious and had all the comforts of home. The pots and pans were a nice sorprise. They actually allowed us to cook enough for a large crowd. The media room was a great place to nap too or get away from the noise. Great experience except for the washing machine not working all week.

My old Air Force buddies held a reunion and this house was perfect. All under one roof, so we were able to spend time together instead of shuttling back and forth. Thanks so much.

We have been renting a beach house from Bluewater resorts and we really love the homes. It's all about family time and also make it a vacation for all the families that we gather together.

My group of girls (cousins) have stayed here twice. The house is perfect for large groups. Each room has its own sink and then shares the shower and toilet. Large livingroom with 2 separate sitting areas. Media room, which I didn't think we would use, but ended up using it every night. The kitchen is large and has a good size pantry. It has a separate freezer which is nice. The refrigerator was broken, but they brought in a second one for us. The house could use a little touch ups (like the hall bathroom toilet paper holder had broken off, some tile is chipping, etc.), but those things were a deal breaker for us. The house was right on the beach. The deck is big and we all sat out there every morning to see beautiful sunrises. There is another house next door with 8 bedrooms and there is a walkway connected that house to there is space for even larger parties. We will definitely stay here again.

This was our 22nd summer at Surfside, have grown to four generations. (14 mos. to 88 years) Pirates Booty suits our family perfectly. This was the 7th year there. The house has held up well.

We had an amazing time at Pirate's Booty once again! It's a beautiful home, large enough for our family of 26! We can't wait to come back!

Our stay was a wonderful experience. Everyone was in awe of the facility, it's location, comfort of beds, and views of the beach. Only thing unpleasant was quality of water. We brought it in for cooking and drinking .

Excellent house, clean, great location, incredible views!

This was the perfect house for a big Family! The beds were comfy the split baths between rooms were excellent to keep your toiletries separate. The kitchen pots and pans could use updating but the kitchen was great size and functional. AC is exceptional, bring a blanket!

This is the second time our family has rented Pirate's Booty for a family reunion. It is an awesome house with perfect bed arrangements to accommodate 20 adults plus some children. The kitchen and gathering area is huge and it is a plus to have a Media Room for kids wanting to watch movies. The deck overlooking the water was fabulous, as was the ramp. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay despite a couple of stormy days, no electricity for a couple of hours and no wifi for a coup,e of days. Guess what? The kids were actually outside playing and enjoying themselves!

We had a great stay for 30 people. We enjoyed our stay very much and enjoyed the amount of beds available. Look forward to staying again.

We love our weekend stay at Surfside Beach. It's like home away from with family and friends. We look forward to going each year. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

This was our sixth year at this property. The house has held up well even thi there are some sign of wear. It's a very good fit for my family.

Our group has rented this house a couple times. It is a great house to rent for large groups. Great house, great decor and wonderful theater room.

We stay here annually. Over all it's great for gatherings. We had a few issues. A fire alarm was chirping and driving us crazy, after the maintenance guy came after a couple of hours, and brought a battery, it stopped, but in the middle of the night another one started chirping. Glad he left another battery. There was trash in the dirty kitchen trash can. There were live roaches and old Hershey kisses in the blue sofa. The latch for the door was loose and caught my shirt, ripping it beyond repair. We cleaned counters and tables before we unpacked. We loved the new chairs in the theater room! It's time for new comforters and a few updates. We would stay here again. After all it is on the beach, and a rental, so you will never find perfection. Brannen staff is awesome! They address all of your needs and after all these years, it's like seeing old friends.

A very good place to have a group time together, excellent layout for individual family privacy yet room for group activities, home was clean, great kitchen for cooking group food, walk to beach for nightly campfires, deep sea fshing close by, can park car under house out f the sun.

Overall a beautiful spacious house filled with many decorations and feels very homey! Just a couple of issues this visit but they were quickly taken care of by helpful staff. We have stayed here at this rental for 5 years and this year it could have been cleaner upon our arrival, a minor detail. The staff are great to work with. It even has wifi now. We will return next year.

Our church has rented this property now for the past 3 years and we are very pleased with the setup of the rooms and the location. The staff makes the corrections when needed and are very accommodating if you have concerns.

We had a special event for our family and used Pirate' s Booty as a gathering point for friends and family that came in from out of town. It provided a great and comfortable setting for us to visit and for the out-of-towners to get a flavor of the Texas Gulf Coast.

This is the second time we have rented this house so we were familiar with the house. Unfortunately a house was being built next door so everyone was awaken every morning to hammering and sawing which went on all day. Next time we rent we will make sure that a house isn't under construction before renting.

This is our group's third year vacationing in Surfside - each year a different house. This is the first year when people have requested that we return to the same place next year for 2014. Perfect location with just enough distance/privacy from neighbors. We were able to sit on the deck late into the night talking, laughing and of course dancing. We did several "sound checks" to make sure we did not disturb anyone and it was amazing how the wind and ocean waves muted the sounds from the deck even just a few feet from the house. The house was very clean with the exception of just a couple stains. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. We really appreciated the large freezer. It was unfortunate that the BBQ grill was in such degraded shape that we were unable to use it. Surely they will be replacing it. The theater room was popular with our football watching fans but some of the chairs were not fully functional. The mosquitoes were tough again this year but we were prepared and our arsenal worked well. The beach was just perfect for our yearly "Beach Olympics" games and we had a great time! We also had a pirate costume contest and took pics in front of the wall mural in the living room which worked out perfectly. Fun times all around and we are looking forward to next year!

Being able to be with my family in one location & the accommodated everyone was excellent. My family & I was pleased with everything & everyone thru the whole process. We are already planning for next year.

We had a Family Reunion in September and had around 30 people! The rooms were perfect for each family to have their own space. The Living room was spacious and the movie room was fun for the kids! We will be back next year and can't wait!
