Trade Winds (U#10262)

Our extended family has been gathering in Surfside for more than two decades. Tradewinds has become a familiar place of comfort. We are pleased with the improvements made in recent years to this property.

This house was perfect for our family reunion. Beach access and views were great. Minor appliance problem was fixed in one hour. Staff was extremely responsive and kind. Would love to rent this house again.

Everything was great with the house and accommodations provided. The most unfortunate of everything was the flies and mosquitoes. They were TERRIBLE!!! Not that it could be helped by anyone, but do take several lines of defense with you...repellent, candles, botanicals.

Despite some early issues, the location and facility is a great place for a family gathering.

This house was awesome enough rooms and space for everyone, upgrades are awesome in the kitchen, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need for you stay and the 2 refrigerators where the best. The water was soft, linen was provided. The only small thing I would say there needs to be a little more lights on the patio area. But this will be our new annual beach home

Family of 22 had a great time and overall enjoyed the cabin, would stay here again, only a few comments;
1. Light in one restroom did not work, so put lamp in corner with extension cord that I brought.
2. Exterior Light at the stairs, leaving the upper deck, light was out, very dangerous and a liability issue, this light must work.

Lighting needs to be better on the patio deck and downstairs under the home. Some outlets wasn't working inside and outside. We couldn't get the wine cooler to come on and stay on.

We enjoyed our stay at Trade Winds, its a great house in a great location. We did not like that we had to make our beds, and sweep and vacuum the floors before we left, not much of a vacation when you have to clean the house before you leave. I also question whether the house is getting cleaned after each visit. I would recommend the house, we really enjoyed the time we were there, I would share the cleaning responsibilities with friends.

This house was very adequate and updated for the 6 couples with kids and 2 singles we had in our group. We had to put all of the provided sheets on the beds ourselves. Also we had to have 7 pallets of water because the tap water was undrinkable. Only one roll of TP in each bathroom and no soaps whatsoever. We were basically our own maids come check out time and the people before us were the maids for us. The beach is right there though and easy access and plenty of room. The kitchen is nice but we had ants in one corner that ruined a couple of bags of chips.

Great house, plenary of room but the house needs some love. Needs new paint job, showers need some cleaning, baseboards coming apart.

We truly enjoyed Tradewinds and its location. Although we've rented through Bluewater before for year,just a different house. Tradewinds was more updated which was a plus. The only thing I really didn't like, especially in these times, although clean sheets are provided, the bed spreads are not washed after each visit which is not good. That's germs waiting to go really wrong. Also in the rooms with stacked beds, they are made up, but definitely never cleaned out which is nasty. Things are stuffed along those railings. With the check out list, the guest definitely do the cleaning and determine the cleanliness for the next guests cause there will be hardly anything for the cleaning ppl to do.You also have to find dumpsters to put trash at the end,
seeing as they have really 1 and many houses, thank goodness my husband had his truck. Or as everything, your threatened with a fee. Other that that, we had a great time!

While being with family is always nice, I must say this house could still use some upkeep. The kitchen was remodeled and I'm assuming the living room. The kitchen was really nice. Once you go upstairs the bathrooms are in need of towel hangers that aren't falling out of the wall, doors to bathrooms that are stuck. spraying for roaches needs to be done more often. The staff at the rental company are always helpful and respond quickly. The house accommodated the number of people we had easily.

Everything was amazing the house has been upgraded and really was accommodation everyone was comfortable.

We have rented a large house 3 times from Bluewater for our family to meet every other year, Trade Winds 2 times. It is perfect for us. There are 15 adults and 13 kids. We hope to do it again in 2022. I love the update! We had A\C trouble and they were there and had it fixed within hours! We are making memories!

I’ve used All of the rental companies in Surfside and Bluewater Resort Rentals is the best. Staff is friendly and they usually allow early check in if the house is cleaned. They are very organized. This year we rented Trail Winds for our cousins girl trip. House was large enough for each of us to have our own room. Kitchen had everything we needed except a pizza pan which I brought. 2 coffee pots and 2 refrigerators were great to have. Beach location perfect! Linens and towels are provided. I’ve already booked another house for next year through Bluewater.

This was the 2nd time I rented Tradewinds for a family reunion. Before for my husbands family and this time for mine. It was a great success both times. This time the home had been recently renovated. It is beautiful. The 10 bedrooms allowed most of us to stay together. We were able to prepare food and cook and dine together. The large area under the house was shady and breezy for evenings together. The private crossover to the beach allowed easy access to the gulf waters. Overall it was a fantastic time and I was praised by everyone for my reunion choices. I must give the ladies at the rental company part credit though. They made everything so smooth and easy. I plan to do this again and Tradewinds will be my number one choice.

The Rental Company was very helpful in answering all my questions regarding the property and helping me choose a property that would accommodate the size of my group. The house was right on the beach, had a great deck and was well furnished.

Remodel is very very nice. The inside looks much brighter and more open. Bathrooms much nicer. It was obvious we were one if not the first to stay after the remodel. Lots of dust on dishes and cabinets - but no big problem.
There were no trash cans in the upstairs bathrooms.
Biggest problem was NO dryer vent. If you turned on the dryer the laundry room was saturated with moisture and you had to leave the door wide open. We have been staying at this location for many years and we love it. The improvements are great. We will be back next year.

Trash under beds and furniture, broken or missing kitchen items, etc. so why do we keep renting it? It is a perfect location and size for our big families. We need the ten bedrooms. We are trying something new next year, though.

Our family has gone to Surfside Beach every other year for the last 6 years. We have rented a big house from Bluewater the last 3 times and have had a wonderful time each time. There are 4 generations of us and all are looking forward to 2020!

We had a float in the St.Patrick's Day Parade. Very organized event and great for families and kids.

GREAT! BRRI is always so nice and really great place in which to rent a property. The beach front access is amazing

We had a large family reunion and rode out Tropical Storm Bill. It was nice to be together. I was a bit disappointed in the condition of the house. The windows poured water and we continually had to wash and dry towels to soak up the water to keep the floors from being damaged. When we pulled the furniture away from the windows, there was trash, plates with old food, etc. under the furniture. The overall condition of the homes as for cleanliness was not up to the Brannan standard - we have been renting from Brannan for over 30 years. There were also large roaches. The coffee pot filters had old grounds and were all moldy - had to soak in hot soapy water. Had trouble with getting hot water upstairs. For a charge of $6,000+ for a week, we really expected cleaner environment especially since you wanted to charge us $50, $25, etc. for each little thing not done when we leave.

We had a great time! Our event was a prom and we had plenty of room for all 32 people. The house was very roomy and it was just a short walk down the pier to the beach. I am definitely going to be a return customer

We have rented from Brannon for years. We love Surfside. Brannon is a great company to rent from, if any issues arise they are there to take care of it promptly. Amazing views from the house, great for some relaxation.

We have been coming to Surfside for almost 20 years and this house is in the top 3-it was very clean, right on the beach and big enough for our large family reunion!

As always, we enjoyed our stay. The house was just as lovely as always.This is one of our favorite properties!

My family has been renting at Surfside since 1963. My friends and I have been renting during the winter for our Reading Week since 1994, always from Brannan. Love it. Once crucial need: WiFi! At least somewhere in Surfside.

This was one of 4 houses we rented for our family reunion. They were all in a row right on the beach and we were totally thrilled with the accomodations

The house was very clean and exactly what we expected. The staff was very helpful
